Hi all -
Just had to share the find of the day. After scoring four $50 plus each baby gates and extensions (which I will use to contain the dogs when they are home alone) for the grand total of 19.99 yesterday, decided to check them out again today, and guess what I found:
A SEWING MACHINE! FOR $19.99!
And it is pretty new--hardly looks like it was used, and it seems to work fine from what I could check out there. It is a Brother VX-1120, and seems to be a nice machine for a starter model. It does have zig zag stitches, along with regular.
Too bad I have to go to the birthday party in 30 minutes my kids are invited to! I want to stay and get acquainted with my new toy. I do have another machine (a Singer), but depending on which one is better (once I completely check this new one out), the other will go to my eight year old, who I am teaching to sew!
I guess I need to check out the Brother website and see if I can get a manual for this there.
Does anyone out there have this particular model?
A very happy camper today,
Linda

Good news again! For $5.xx, I've got the owner's manual for the machine ordered from Brother (it was actually $2.xx plus shipping).
